Blending artistry with technical precision, Alex Secord is a fashion and costume designer driven by storytelling, historical research, and impeccable craftsmanship. Born in Boston, raised in Georgetown, Texas, and currently a Junior at The University of Texas at Austin, Alex is majoring in Textiles & Apparel with Polymathic Scholars Honors with a second major in Plan II Honors, through which he explores the intersection of design, history, and culture.

With experience ranging from animatronic costuming for themed entertainment to bespoke couture in miniature and full scale, Alex’s work is marked by a deep understanding of garment construction, materiality, and cultural authenticity. As a Disney Imaginations quarterfinalist, he brings a visionary approach to design, crafting immersive, functional, and eye-catching costumes that honor both the past and the future of fashion.

Whether creating a custom doll ensemble, an intricate cosplay, or a meticulously researched period piece, Alex designs with precision, passion, and purpose—because every stitch tells a story.
